Vintage Diamond Solitaire Earrings
c. Mid-Century
As earringpalooza continues this week (today is the last day), I have one last pair of earrings for you (for now – more on the way!). I’ve already expressed my feelings about having a pair of diamond studs in your repertoire, but here’s my list of ten pieces of jewelry every woman should strive to have in her jewelry box (which includes, shockingly, diamond studs). This pair of Vintage Diamond Solitaire earrings is one of the most versatile additions you could make to your jewelry wardrobe.
What We Love About Them:
Vintage Diamond Solitaire Earrings
I’ve actually worn this pair of studs for the last year because they’re just that good. They literally go with everything. Yoga pants. My work suits. Black tie attire (remember when we used to get to go to those kinds of things?). And even if you wear more than one earring per ear, they are just a staple item that works with everything.
The Deets:
This pair of diamond studs is set in 18kt (stamped) white gold, with a single round brilliant cut diamond, set within a bezel and styled in the “martini” setting (meaning they sit more flush with the earlobe and don’t stick out so far – or droop!). I added a set of locking earring backs. After you slide the back on, it requires you to press a button on each side of the back to loosen the back and remove it. Great for safety but not as big a pain as screw-backs. The diamonds total approximately .90ctw and are graded at I-J color and VS2-SI1. The earrings are hallmarked for manufacture in Sheffield (England) and weigh 2.46, while measuring 1/4″ in diameter. The earrings could also be converted to screw backs, if you prefer. Please reach out if you are interested in either modification.
Fancy dress party. Weekly Target run. Big zoom meeting with new clients. This pair of vintage diamond solitaire earrings add just the right touch of sparkle for any occasion you can come up with.
