We love, love, love when a piece of jewelry can be repurposed instead of just melted down. Luckily, someone (it wasn’t us but we do know the smart folks who did this) was thoughtful enough to take the case of what had been a gorgeous pocket watch and convert the front of the case to a vintage diamond pendant when the watch inside was beyond repair. Look at the pretty diamond star pattern on the front. Yay for reduce, reuse, recycle!
What We Love About It: Well, beyond the obvious super smart re-use, we love the delicate milgrain along the outside edge and the diamonds making up the star are bright and white.
The Deets: The vintage diamond pendant has 9 total old cut diamonds set in a star/flower-like pattern, with the center diamond being the largest at approx. .05cts and the eight remaining diamonds at roughly .02cts each, for a total of .21ctw. The pendant measures 1 3/8″ in diameter (1 5/8″ if you include the bail). *NOTE: The chain pictured does not come with the pendant, but we can find a chain of your liking and length to go with it – just message us for details and pricing prior to purchase.
Need a shining star to help yo find your way? We have just the repurposed star to make things nice and bright.
**The pendant is shiny enough that things like ceiling lights and our camera show up in photos. There are no flaws on the front of the pendant whatsoever.
