There’s just something about an opal. They get to me. In a good way. But they just pull at my soul. Maybe it’s their moody color shifting. Maybe it’s the deep blues and greens that make me think of the ocean. But to say I’m a sucker for an opal ring would be an understatement.
That’s why it will be hard to part with this particular specimen. I mean look at her. She’s gorgeous. All that fiery color (the photos don’t even do her justice). Those sparkling diamonds. Yeah. Hard to part with her indeed.
She’s made up of three gorgeous cabochon opals (about 1.34cts worth) and four old european cut diamonds (.28cts VS1 – I1 clarity and J-K color). She’s missing a stamp but she tested out at 18kt gold and weighs 3.1 (dwt). Currently a size 6.5 US/M 1/2 UK she might be able to be sized up or down a bit, by my jeweler for a fee (message me for details) or by yours. But you won’t be able to take her up or down too far (maybe 1/2 size) without messing up the carriage of the ring. And what a carriage it is. The prong work is stunning. Who’d want to mess that up? Not me.
**The ring will ship USPS Priority Mail, including the standard insurance that comes with a Priority shipment. Should you want enough insurance to cover the full value of the ring, please message me prior to purchase.
