What We Love About It:
This ring is so beyond any description. We’ve had to talk ourselves out of keeping it and it’s sister for ourselves over and over again. The hand painted portrait is perfection and the fact that it’s similar to but not an exact match to the other makes us giddy. And…. blue shoes. WAY before Elvis’ time. Those shoes though.
The Deets:
The ring was once a screw back earring that we knew would be under-utlitized and left to while away its days in a jewelry box. So we took it and its sister and converted them into rings. The hand painted portrait is Victorian in nature, depicting a young woman with blonde hair wearing a yellow over skirt and a pink petticoat, accented by blue shoes. The portrait has been reinforced with a clear epoxy to ensure it’s longevity and we took the bezel set image and created a 14kt yellow gold shank and undercarriage to compliment the bezel, adding some hand engraved details in the Victorian style. The ring is currently a size 7.25 US but could easily be sized up or down by our jeweler (see options and pricing listed in this post) or yours. It weighs in at 7.17g and measures 24 x 19mm on the finger.
Do you love having something no one else will have? Something unique and truly vintage? This ring is a one-of-a-kind you won’t regret!
