The Victorians were suckers for detail. There’s just no arguing it. They loved little flourishes or surprises and even the tiniest of details was important to them. A great example is our Victorian Amethyst Bracelet. The floral details and even the tiny rope chain embellishment are exquisite and downright necessary by Victorian standards.
What We Love About It: We love that they included the small rope chain detail that weaves its way around the bracelet and the tiny flowers, which are so very detailed, down to the petal.
The Deets: The heavy hollow bracelet is crafted in 14kt gold (stamped on the interior) and includes a lock-in-place clasp with a safety chain. In the center of the oval bracelet you’ll find a deep purple faceted oval amethyst, set in a heavy floral-like prong setting. The stone measures 3mm x 2mm and appears to be of excellent quality. To the outside of the amethyst on each side is an intricately carved flower and wrapping around the front half of the bracelet is a rope chain accent, which is secured to the bracelet face. The bangle will fit up to a 7″ wrist and weighs 3.4g.
We can’t say we blame the Victorian’s for the detailing. It makes for beautiful conversation pieces, just like this bracelet. And we’ve always been a fan of a good conversation . . . . about jewelry.
