Riker Brothers 14kt Yellow Gold Hand Engraved Converted Vintage Cufflink Ring
We know that you know that we’re basically the queens of repurposing vintage jewelry. If it’s worn down or out or a long forgotten single piece from a matched set, we’re going to revive it into something lovely and wearable. Take for instance, an amazingly hand-engraved vintage cufflink, long abandoned because its twin had disappeared. Even better if it’s a signed piece from a well thought of US jewelry manufacturer from the late 1800s.
What We Love About It:
Well, we love the story of the Riker Brothers for starters. They were literally the beginning of “Made In America,” and were in business for over 100 years (1846 – late 1940s). And secondly, we love a good revival story. 😉
The former cufflink now ring is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and we made sure the 2mm ring shank we added was also 14kt. The top of the vintage cufflink/ring is hand engraved with an intricate folate design and measures 18mm x 12 mm. The ring is stamped with the 14kt hallmark and the Riker Brothers hallmark as well and weighs in at 5.42 grams. It’s currently a size 7 US but could easily be resized by our jeweler (see options and pricing in this post) or by yours.
If you love a good swan song, you’re in good company. And even better if you love a good ol’ American success story.
