Art Deco Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring (Vintage)
- We here at KC&Co are kind of like magicians. We find vintage pieces in various states of repair (or disrepair sometimes) and get them all cleaned up and reinforced for you before we sell them. Some days, we come across a piece missing key elements. A bail on a pendant. A seed pearl in a surround of seed pearls. Or maybe a ring missing its center stone. That’s what happened with our Art Deco Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring. It was lovely, but minus a very key component. It just so happens that we have some nice old diamonds lying around and we picked the perfect one to set into the ring and…. voíla! We have an engagement ring that’s as good as new.
What We Love About It:
The ring is two-tone gold (yellow and white) and we’ve always been a sucker for two-tone. It makes it just that much more wearable and able to transcend metal trends. But we also love its low profile. This is a great ring for someone who works with their hands or with delicate things – like fabric or kids.
The Deets:
The ring was crafted somewhere between 1915 and 1935 out of both yellow and white gold – yellow for the bulk of the ring and white gold for the actual stone mountings. It holds an old European Cut diamond weighing .17cts (G/SI1), which is flanked by eight single cut diamonds (one has a small chip in it) with a total weight of .08ctw (G/SI1). The ring is currently a size 6.5 US but could easily be sized up or down by our jeweler (see this listing for details and pricing) or by yours.
If you’re looking for a classic Art Deco Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, look no further. It’s your lucky day.
