The Victorians were a fascinating group. They could be known to be not unlike the rest of us and to enjoy a flower now and again. Especially if it was Victorian enamel, convertible and set with a diamond at the center.
What We Love About It: This brooch pendant is in amazing shape for its age. The enamel work is still incredibly intact and vibrant. We only hope to look this good when we’re roughly 150 years old.
The Deets: The Victorian Enamel brooch/pendant (it’s convertible and can be worn as either), is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and embellished with shades of white and turquoise enamel along its “petals”. At the center, you’l find an approx. .08ct diamond. The stone hasn’t been graded but it appears to be an old mine cut, that’s eye clean and faces up nice and white. The back of the piece has a bail and a simple pin stem standard for the era. It measures 25mm in diameter and weighs in at 5.20g (including the chain). We have it hung from the chain on which we found it, which is 18″ and gold filled. A vintage 14kt yellow gold chain could be substituted for a slight up charge. Message us for pricing.
What do you do on a dreary winter’s day when there are no flowers to go smell? Stick your nose right in the center of this piece and breath deeply. We promise it will smell like Spring. 😉
