14kt White Gold Old Cut Diamond and Pearl Vintage Ring
Some folks might call us the queens of the do-over. And we’re ok with that. We do love to re-purpose pieces whose style has maybe fallen a bit out of favor. A stick-pin becomes a pendant. Screw-back earrings get a new lease on life with pierced posts. Or a tie-tac becomes a ring. Case in point: our White Gold Old Cut Diamond And Cultured Pearl Vintage Ring. It spent the first portion of its life as a tie-tac. But casual Friday put an end to that. We found her kind of dejected after years of hanging out in a jewelry box and said come with us. We’ll take care of the reassignment surgery. You just sit there and look pretty.
What We Love About It:
Those chunky old diamonds sparkle and shine and are a fantastic complement to the smooth creamy cultured pearl.
The Deets:
The ring is made from 14kt white gold (including the 2mm wide shank we added) and holds a halo of eight invisible-set old-cut diamonds (approx. .32ctw H-I/I1-I2), orbiting around a 6.5mm cultured pearl with creamy undertones and plenty of sheen, forming a flower like effect. The ring is 13mm in diameter, currently a size 6 US, but could easily be sized by our jeweler (see options and pricing within the post for details) or by yours, and weighs in at 4.7g.
We say it all of the time, ” Jewelry that just sits in a jewelry box is sad jewelry.” We’re just glad we saved another piece from a life of despair.
