When you think of heavily embellished symbolism in gold, depicting power, strength and wealth, one might think of Etruscan works of art. A civilization that began around 700 BC and was basically absorbed by the Romans by 100 BC, their work in metals, pottery and sculpture was very distinct and easily identifiable. Since their fall, their style has been copied and reproduced throughout the years, with periods of great popularity and following. While these handmade earrings are of a much more modern time, they harken back to a people long ago.
What We Love About Them: True to the style in which they were created, they are heavily ornamental with deep cut work and flourishes and the stones are bezel set (typical of the time). The pink of the tourmalines is rich and deep.
The Deets: The earrings are 14kt yellow gold with bezel set pink tourmalines (approx .50cts each) and are constructed with french wires. They each measure about 1/2″ in length and 1/4″ in width.
Feeling like you belong in a time long ago? Let these earrings take you back to the days of power and wealth!
