We’ve already established that brooches are the new black. But not everyone can jump right into owning a vintage gold cameo. That’s where these lovely ladies comes in. She’s a great way to dip your toe into the brooch world, without breaking the bank.
Are they gold? Nope. Sterling silver. Mmm mm. But they are a gorgeous example of what costume jewelry can be. And boy are they pretty. Get this . . . this piece was created by the famous Isaac Manevitz of Ben-Amun jewelry.
Isaac is a pioneer of the statement-making jewelry movement made famous in the early 80’s (and worn by the likes of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Kate Moss and Blake Lively), and has been creating his signature designs for more than 30 years. To this day he designs and manufactures everything in his studio in the heart of the Design District in NYC.
These ladies are likely from a collection in the ’80’s. Who knows, maybe Jackie O worn them once upon a time. And now it’s your turn.
The brooch has a basic pin back mechanism and is 50mm in circumference.
