The French decided they were so over the Victorian period. Dark, drab and full of mourning. They were ready for something light and fresh and wanted to let the world know that the British weren’t the only ones who could scare up a nice design or two. Enter Art Nouveau. Stylings like our coral and pearl pendant were all the rage!
What We Love About It: The simplicity that is classic art nouveau. Sweeping lines. Gentle, muted colors like that of the coral and pearl. These are pieces for every day wear.
The Deets: Our pendant is fashioned out of 10kt yellow gold and is in the lovelier style with a small cultured pearl in the center and a coral teardrop hanging below. The pendant itself is about 1.5″ long and 3/4″ wide. We’ve hung it from a vintage 14kt yellow gold chain that’s 16″ in length. (If you would like a longer chain, please message us and we can switch it out for a small up-charge.)
The race for designing the best jewelry started with the Art Nouveau period. It’s the classic battle between the French and the British. Well, at least as far as we’re concerned.
