You know we love a good story here at KC & Co. But one that involves the Titanic? Now that’s a story! And when you throw in a bit about a strong young woman business owner in the early 1900s on top? Well, we just can’t resist. Especially when it all revolves around an Art Deco Engagement Ring.
What We Love About It: You mean besides the totally sad but cool story about the company that created it? Well, we do love the lines and the delicate orange blossom flowers to each side of the center stone.
The Deets: Our Ostby Barton Orange Blossom Art Deco Engagement Ring is fashioned in 14kt yellow and white gold with a diamond center stone of approx. .45cts (J/SI1). The ring’s manufacturer has quite a history (click the link above to read what our friends at Maejean vintage dug up about them) and was one of the leading manufacturers of jewelry from the 1880s to 1950s. The ring is currently a size 6.75 US but could easily be sized up or down by our jeweler (see options and pricing above) or by yours. It weighs in at 1.83g.
We love finding out some history about the pieces we have in our shop and this one has a lovely lineage that’s for sure!
