9kt Yellow Gold Heart Lock (Vintage)
c.1960
Who has a lock on your heart? Is it your sweet babboo (for you young ones, that’s a Peanuts reference)? Maybe it’s your four-legged friend? Or possibly it’s the best sweetheart of all – you. Although we’re listing this on Valentine’s Day, I believe that love is love is love is love is love. Every. Day. Whomever you want to recognize with a heart to show your love, I think this gold heart lock would be a great talisman.
What We Love About It:
Well, for starters, it represents love. What’s not to love about love? But as the cherry on top, this heart lock can be worn with a chain to create a pretty necklace or with a large curb link bracelet to secure it to your wrist. Or myriad other ways that we likely haven’t even thought of yet. How you wear your love is up to you.
The Deets:
Our gold heart lock is crafted in 9kt yellow gold with a “Naturalism” flourish pattern engraved front, along with a “375” indicating its 9kt purity and hallmarks to the reverse (designating it was made in London in 1960), with plenty of room leftover for your own engraved sentiment. The companion key is long since on its own separate journey, but fear not – you can still open the lock with the tab at the top, even without the key. We have shown it in photographs here with a heavy curb bracelet (not for sale) but you could also wear it with a simple curb or box chain necklace and we’re happy to help you find any of the above. The lock measures .5″ across and .75″ top to bottom, including the “bail”.
Beyonce said if you like it, you should put a ring on it, but WendyKate thinks you should lock it down. 😉
